9-10 Nov 2014 - Leigh Creek

Arriving at Leigh Creek on a Sunday was not a good idea as everything was closed, the caravan park had no shade so we decide to stay in the air-conditoned "backpacker's accommadation", which turns out not so bad as we are the only "backpackers", with temps in the high 40s this was a good decision.

The town of Leigh Creek was moved west as beneath the old town coal was found. Now the new Leigh Creek is a bigger town serviceing the coal mone and the surrounding area.
